Harrison is especially drawn to Young Adult Sci-Fi Fantasy, often weaving elements of futuristic worlds, advanced technology, and mysterious discoveries into her stories. At the heart of her writing, however, are characters navigating relationships, friendships, and personal growth. Her stories frequently include a romantic twist, adding emotional layers that resonate with readers while the larger science fiction adventure unfolds.

While she enjoys writing the occasional short story, Harrison’s greatest passion lies in creating full-length novels and series where she can build immersive worlds and allow characters to grow across multiple stories.

Her novel Preexistence began as an idea during her graduate studies at Lindenwood University. During one assignment, students were challenged to “think outside the box.” That simple prompt sparked the concept for a futuristic story exploring the relationship between humans and an alien race and the hidden secrets that might exist beneath the surface of a seemingly peaceful world.

From that original spark, Preexistence grew into a thrilling young adult science fiction story about discovery, identity, and the courage to question everything you thought you knew.
