K.C. Harrison is a passionate storyteller who brings imagination, emotion, and futuristic ideas together to create engaging young adult science fiction and fantasy. She lives in Illinois with her husband and their lively household of two dogs and a cat, where many of her creative ideas begin to take shape.
Harrison’s journey into writing began during her teenage years in an unexpected way. While reading a book as a young adult, she found herself frustrated with the way the story ended. When she voiced her opinion, someone suggested a simple but powerful solution: write your own ending. That moment sparked something that would grow into a lifelong love for storytelling.
What began as a creative challenge soon became a passion.
Determined to develop her craft and explore the possibilities of storytelling, Harrison pursued formal education in writing and earned a Master’s Degree in Writing from Lindenwood University, where she focused specifically on Young Adult literature. Her studies allowed her to refine her voice as a writer while exploring the types of stories she loved most, stories that combine imagination, emotional depth, and compelling characters.
